There is a sparkling lecture series on the Byzantine Empire that you can listen to online or download to your iPod or other mp3 player. Lars Brownworth teaches at the Stony Brook high school on Long Island, and has been offered a book deal to write a textbook on this subject. Trinty Western University has a program that could be used by older high schoolers called FOCUS. "FOCUS" = Freshman Online Certificate: University Studies Study at home, at the office, in a distant land. With FOCUS at Trinity Western University, study online "and gain a full year of accredited and transferable university credits." |
MathNexus. There was for several years a wonderful collaboration of Whatcom and Skagit teachers of mathematics. This website contains some of the outcomes of teachers teaching each other some cool things about math. |

Plan for a great two weeks at Creative Youth Theater where everyone has lots of lines, a definite character and lots of fun! July 13-25 with three performances. Practices and performances are right off the freeway by Jerry Chambers Chevrolet.
