TIMELINE SCAVENGER HUNT

This is a drop-in timed activity for grades 5-12. No previous knowledge of history required. All the answers are in the room somewhere; you find them! You get a cumulative score from two 15-minute rounds and winners will be announced in Middle School and High School categories.

TIMELINE SCAVENGER HUNT – Competition Rules

1. This competition will run two categories simultaneously: Middle School (Gr. 5-8) and High School (Gr. 9-12).

2. No previous knowledge of history is required.

3. This is a drop-in, timed activity. Each student will participate in two rounds: World Timeline and U.S. Timeline. They may be done in either order.

4. Each round consists of a list of questions and 15 minutes to find the answers on the timelines provided. Please check the schedule and allow yourself time for a second round.

5. Schedule: Three rounds per hour. Check-in for each round occurs on the hour, 20 minutes after the hour, and 40 minutes after the hour, respectively. If you are late, you will wait for the next round.

6. Scoring is individual. Scores from the two rounds will be added together for each student. Winners will be selected in these two categories: Middle School (Gr. 5-8) and High School (Gr. 9-12)
