• Who: Students enrolled in classes at ZLO. Homeschooled siblings of ZLO students may also compete. This year, there will be some categories for parents to compete.
• What: Competitions in English, science, math, history, geography, social studies, and art.
• When: Thursday, March 27. Registrations are due by March 4th.
• Where: Participants will be competing in various rooms at King Mountain Church. Audiences may watch the competitions as room permits.
• How much: This entry fee for this event was included in your ZLO registration fee, paid at the beginning of the term. Family members of ZLO students who are not registered at ZLO are welcome to participate for a $5 per person fee. There is no registration fee for parent categories.
• How: Click on the Registration form at left. Sign up for 5 events.

Remember: Registrations are due by March 4th.

AWARDS

FIRST, SECOND, AND (in some cases) THIRD PLACE AWARDS will be given in each category based upon number of entrants. Categories without a minimum of four competitors will be cancelled. Those who have signed up for those categories will be notified. WE WILL BE EMAILING YOU THE FINAL SCHEDULE FOR THE EVENTS.

Important Details

• Students will register for 5 events. Events have been scheduled so that students can easily participate in this many events.
• Each participant or observer under 16 who is not a ZLO registered student will be under the supervision of an adult at the event.
• Lunch, drinks, and snack items will be for sale throughout the day. Only water will be permitted in competiton rooms.
• Students should “dress up” a bit more than usual as this is a competition. Our ZLO policy for competitors and observers is: Be clean, be covered, be comfortable. Graphics on clothing should not dishonor our Lord. Do not wear jeans, T-shirts, hats or flip flops to competitions unless these are part of your costume for drama.
• Poor behavior or inappropriate dress will disqualify a participant.
• Awards will be given to 1st-3rd place winners.
• Events with less than 4 competitors will be cancelled and you will be notified.
