Study Hall
All students on the premises not waiting for parent pickup will either be in class or in a supervised study hall. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Our study hall is set up for two reasons: To provide a quiet place for your child to complete homework, and to assist you so that you do not have to pick up your children in between classes. Please do NOT use study hall for social time.

In General:

1. The privilege of being able to stay at school in study hall between classes can be revoked at any time when the student's behavior violates the policies presented here. Either a supervisor or a ZLO teacher can revoke this privilege and will determine if the privilege is revoked or temporarily suspended.
2. A $30 nonrefundable, per semester fee will be charged for each study hall a student uses during the school day. This fee will be billed on the first day of school and will be added to your regular billing..
3. For occasional use of study hall, provide the supervisor with $2.50 per period (15 or more minutes, up to one full class period) of supervision.
4. The regular use of more than two study hall periods is discouraged and should be discussed with administration.

Student Study Hall Use

1. The study hall supervisor is in charge. Students will ALWAYS follow this person's directions.
2. Students are responsible to use this time to study. Bring a book if your homework is complete.
3. Students will sign in at the beginning of each study hall period and notify the supervisor if they need to leave the room for any reason.
4. It will be quiet in study hall.
5. Keep feet off of furniture.
6. Eating and drinking is allowed as long as it is not a distraction to others and as long as students clean up after themselves.
7. Listening to your personal music player is allowed, so long as it is your own player (no listening to someone else’s player) and as long as the volume level is low. The person next to you should not be able to hear your music. No video viewing or game playing is allowed with any device. Violation of these guidelines will result in the confiscation of your device. Your parent may retrieve it.
8. Students who disrupt quiet may be barred from study hall. This is at the discretion of the supervisor, whose decision will be affirmed by administration. Students barred from study hall will need to be picked up by their parents for that hour.
