Course Fee: $300
Materials Fee:

This course will teach the basics of the Inductive Bible study method, using the biblical text as the primary source of study. The students will thoroughly learn and apply the three components of inductive study: observation, interpretation and application, as they study the book of Joshua. We will observe the text by asking the 5W’s and H questions, marking key words and people, making lists, and identifying themes. The students will learn tools of interpretation – interpreting Scripture with Scripture and employing a study of context, cross references, word studies, as well as geographical and historical setting. Application as the goal of Bible study will be emphasized. They will be challenged to live out the truths that they have clearly seen and understood from God’s Word. And we will remember that the purpose of our study is to know God – resulting in a changed life.

The curriculum for the study has been written by Precept Ministries International, which has partnered with The Veracity Group LLC; it is based upon the Precept Upon Precept Inductive Bible studies currently being used worldwide.

Students will receive a workbook in which they will complete their homework assignments. They can expect about 2-3 hours of homework per week. The course will also include map work, world view projects, and much class discussion to solidify what they will be learning.

After completing the course your students will know the structure, context and themes of the book of Joshua, and will have developed Bible study skills that will last a lifetime!
